Dependencia de la inteligencia artificial generativa y aprendizaje universitario: efecto mediador de la autorregulación y el pensamiento crítico sobre el rendimiento académico

La expansión de la inteligencia artificial generativa en la educación superior ha transformado las formas de acceso a la información, resolución de tareas y construcción del conocimiento, al tiempo que ha generado preocupación por la dependencia tecnológica y sus posibles efectos sobre las capacidades cognitivas de los estudiantes. El objetivo de esta revisión sistemática fue analizar la relación entre la dependencia de la inteligencia artificial generativa y el aprendizaje universitario, considerando el papel de la autorregulación del aprendizaje y el pensamiento crítico sobre el rendimiento académico. Se realizó una revisión sistemática siguiendo las orientaciones de PRISMA 2020. Google Académico constituyó la única fuente de búsqueda y se consideraron publicaciones disponibles hasta diciembre de 2024. Tras el proceso de identificación, cribado y elegibilidad, se seleccionaron 15 estudios. Los resultados muestran que ChatGPT y otras herramientas generativas pueden favorecer el compromiso, la autoeficacia, la resolución de problemas, el pensamiento crítico y determinados indicadores de rendimiento cuando son utilizadas mediante estrategias guiadas y autorreguladas. Sin embargo, la sobredependencia puede reducir el esfuerzo cognitivo, el pensamiento independiente y la autonomía. Se concluye que la autorregulación y el pensamiento crítico constituyen mecanismos potencialmente explicativos de la relación entre dependencia de inteligencia artificial y rendimiento académico universitario.
